When Life Throws You Lemons

Rough week. Back to the grind of working, the last weekend I was so sick, I slept all but 6 hours on Saturday and passed out for 4 hours during the day on Sunday. So not only was Monday awful to wake up to, I was also still feeling very crappy. I must of pulled muscles when I was sick and so this week has been hard to move. Forget about putting on socks or shoes, I juts want to cry.

Yesterday I finally called to see the doctor (I had called Saturday and unless I couldn't keep any liquid down she said I would be okay), my appointment was at 4pm. Jack hadn't been moving as often and the pains in my side and ribs were horrible. I flew up from work to get checked out and took my sugar test at the same time. (I believe that went well because they said I would hear today if it was bad).

Anyways, the pains are the pulled muscles and soreness is due to pregnancy and Jack looks GREAT! He even peed during the ultrasound for us to see. Then I got blood work ALONE (who is proud?) and Tim met me in the waiting room. Afterwards he headed home and I went to see my mom. This is when disaster happened.

About a mile from our house Tim tried to stop the car since the guy in front decided to break suddenly to turn on wet roads. Our truck wound up wedged between the guardrail and other truck!!! He called me upset and I came right to the scene. Why?! Now? I swear how much more is life going throw at us before we crack?

Our truck sits at the auto shop now. Why couldn't it have been the Explorer or Buick? Also we have snow coming the next 2 days. The truck would have been nice to have.

4 weeks until Spring Break, which could include us MOVING!! I can only hope as I sit and cross out all the dates that have passed now due to mortgage moron. Who of course ARE NOT member of Brewster's Chamber of Commerce, the BBB or anything for that matter. Confirming they are shady people and also I should have done this research before hand. This new guy has things moving SOO QUICKLY!! I am so pissed we didn't use him to begin with. The new appraisal takes place this weekend and we should have those results Monday. Our deadline for everything to be settled so we have a closing date is 3/5 (next Friday).

Well I hope everyone else is having a better time, 2 more days until the weekend. I can't wait, it'll be busy but fun. Also Friday I hit 3rd trimester! I will be updating with pictures then.
Until next time!! XOXO

Mortgage Moron

The first week of October I signed papers with a mortgage guy. In November, I put an offer in on a house and on December 13th I signed the contracts. Since then 4 closing dates have passed- 12/31, 1/31 and 2/28 and the beginning of March . My mortgage guy has told me "tomorrow" he would know something in every email or phone call or office visit. January 22nd the house was appraised, last night (2/17) he emails with the response of it didn't appraise for what we wanted. WTF!!! Why am I finding out 3 weeks later? This morning my father and I did a 3 way call with him so my dad could figure out what was going on from the sources mouth. He was told he was ordering a new appraisal, would have a commitment TOMORROW and call us with all the information later today. That was 9am.

At 3pm, I walked back into the house to have Tim on the phone with our realtor who called because our lawyer called her to notify that the mortgage guy called her asking for a 3 week extension. Another WTF moment. Why hadn't we received a call from him telling us that? Instead we learn this information from a 3rd party. So after asking the lawyer's assistant what to do, we went on a mission for a new mortgage guy, preferrably someone who was at a bank and not a broker. WE FOUND HIM.

So, I went into the office and unleashed Mean Pregnant lady on them. Took my information and check out of their office after Mortgage Moron told me on the phone at his office, "thanks for telling me how to do my job" in reply to me asking "why he didn't call me about a 3 week extension. Why did I have to find out from our realtor and not you?" I hung the phone up on the ass and told his boss I am done with them. They are smooth talkers that is for sure.

So we departed on a car ride to White Plains. By 7pm I had a mortage approval in my email box along with the realtor's. Another hour I had loan applications for the VA loan- funny thing is I never saw that paperwork before which makes me think Mortgage Moron screwed up all along. So as I sit and write this we are at my parents faxing all the paperwork and information our new guy needs. In 2 weeks we will have a committment and another closing date. This guy has been warned not to mess with me.

I can only hope that the seller's will agree to an extension and bare with us. So cross your fingers for us and as you do that cheer I am done with the Mortgage Moron. It has been an emotional, panic stricken couple of weeks. After lasts night mental break down (where apparently the neighbors heard my screaming and crying) I just hope nothing else gets screwed up.

26 Weeks!!

So I am 26 Weeks now, almost finished with the 6th month. Tim is feeling Jack move more and more lately though. We celebrated Valentine's Day with our friends Monika and Chris in the Bronx at Mario's on Arthur Ave. Everything was delicious after 3 hours of eating and laughs.

School is out for a week, and I couldn't be happier to have R&R. Too bad the checkbook hasn't been getting that rest since online shopping is in full effect. Today I went to Destination Maternity for the first time, I wish I started going there sooner. I picked up an awesome dress for a wedding we are attending soon.

No updates on the house, other than March. It is becoming a very sore subject for us. So I won't be updating until we have good news. We have picked out paint for our bedroom and curtain rods at Lowe's on Friday night.

Updated belly shots and a cute (if I do say so myself) picture of me before dinner on Saturday.

100 days left

I feel like I am my students counting to the 100th day of school. This time it is a count DOWN from 100 to 1. Also in 2 months I will be 25 or a 1/4 of a century old. I can't believe it. It was nice to be home today for a snow day. 2 more days and then a week off. So much to do to still though so the time off is welcomed!

House updates:
Looks like we won't be in the house until sometime March. The seller's want to rent back the house after we close. I swear I am never buying a house again, this is beyond annoying. If we weren't expecting little Jack I am would have walked away and found another house by now, I just don't have the time to do that. Now I have to put more in storage also.
